Ferns
Several varieties of ferns have sprung up on their own in our yard, and the nice thing
is that unlike most other accidental plants, we never have to move them to a more
appropriate spot -- they pop up in the best places on their own.
Ebony Spleenwort Fern, April 25, 2009:
This and the next one come up in the Spring on the East side of some rocks in the
Northwest bed.
Not sure, but this could be Lace Fern. Click here for a
closeup.
This fern comes up in the West bed along the driveway.
I like them best when they are changing from bronze to green (May 6, 2009):
This Lady Fern was part of a shade garden set from SpringHill
Nursery, planted on June 10, 2009:
It never showed any signs of life, so SpringHill is supposed to send a replacement.
